Environmental Audits

Environmental regulations address specific environmental media, such as water, air and wastes.  These regulations also require recordkeeping and reporting.  Some of the recordkeeping is necessary to demonstrate compliance with a regulation, while certain reporting requirements are intended to inform the agencies and the public about potential environmental hazards.  Other regulations specify planning, training and even facility design criteria.

Alpha Terra Science assists clients in identifying the environmental regulatory requirements that apply in each specific situation.  This review includes identification of processes, waste streams, and emissions, inventory levels of raw materials and finished product, and throughput of raw materials, and even the formation of chemical compounds as a consequence of the manufacturing processes.

While we can complete a comprehensive compliance audit, a less intrusive assessment typically meets objectives at a lower cost.  The assessment is intended to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a client’s environmental program, providing the client with a prioritized list of actions needed to strengthen the programs.
